Also, in the small print, is the fact that they can end your contract several weeks early if they find a permanent person to fill the position. Also, salary is much higher for travel, at least 30%. In many cases, it's closer to 50% higher, as it should be. Let's get rid of PTAs in order to re-establish our profession. There will be increased demand for physical therapists/DPTs and a paucity of clinicians to fill them. This will drive salaries to where they should be, so they we don't have to travel.
